Event Manager
The Position
Job Title: Event Manager (6 - 8 month fixed-term contract)
Status: 6 - 8 months (dependent on start date)
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office / 2 days from home)
Start Date: August 2025 (Interviews to take place in July)
Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 (pro rata, dependent on experience)
Reporting Line: Head of Events
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Event Manager to join our team on a temporary basis to support a significant expansion of our events programme in early 2026. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by delivering high-quality, large-scale events.
You will manage the end-to-end delivery of several strategically important conferences, including new additions across technology, an inaugural Africa event, a joint event with our US counterparts, and more. These events involve sponsorship activation, onsite exhibitions, and 1:1 meeting coordination – requiring strong logistical oversight and stakeholder management.
You’ll be joining a small, high-performing team where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
Involvement in the planning and execution of multiple conferences and events.
Oversee event logistics, including venue, supplier and exhibitor management.
Coordinate sponsorship activations, exhibition setups, and onsite logistics.
Manage speaker and sponsor communications and deliverables.
Support the execution of 1:1 meeting schedules and event tech tools.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align events with wider strategic goals.
Track event milestones, budgets, and post-event reporting.
Your Experience
5+ years’ experience in end-to-end event management, with a preference for experience in exhibitions and sponsorship logistics.
Proven ability to deliver large-scale B2B events with multiple stakeholders.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Confident using event technology platforms.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
Bonus points if:
You have experience with Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) and CrowdComms
You have experience working in the financial sector / membership association
Working Environment
Hybrid working model: 3 days in the office (London, Canary Wharf), 2 days from home.
Some international travel may be required for onsite event delivery.
You will report directly to the Head of Events.
