Hybrid Working
At Capsticks, we care about doing the right thing, communicating clearly and working together well. This role is a chance to join a supportive team and help deliver thoughtful, well-run events that strengthen relationships, support business development and reflect who we are as a firm.
The team
Led by the Director of Business Development & Marketing (BD & M), the team supports the firm across Business Development, Bids, Marketing, Communications and Events. We are a collaborative team of 18, working closely together to help the firm build strong relationships and deliver work that makes a difference.
The role
This is a great opportunity to join a busy, supportive Business Development and Marketing team and play an important part in delivering a varied programme of client and internal events. As Senior Events Executive, you will take ownership of events from first conversation through to delivery, follow-up and review. You will work across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats, partnering with the Events Manager, BD sector leads, the Communications Team Leader and colleagues across the firm to deliver events that are well run; on brand and demonstrate a clear ROI. You will also use feedback, reporting and insight to spot what is working and where we can improve.
Main duties and responsibilities
• Lead the planning and delivery of client and internal events across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats, including conferences, seminars, webinars, roundtables, hospitality and networking events
• Support the Events Manager on larger programmes and take ownership of key strategic events.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the firm to understand what they want to achieve, shape event plans and make sure activity supports wider BD and marketing priorities
• Manage budgets, suppliers and venue logistics to deliver high-quality events on time and within budget
• Coordinate event follow-up, capture feedback and communicate actions and outcomes clearly to relevant stakeholders
• Maintain event records, audience lists and reporting data within CRM and related systems
• Use CRM, email marketing and digital channels to manage invitations, registrations, attendee communications and event promotion
• Oversee event logistics, registration processes and attendee experience to make sure events run smoothly on the day
• Lead the delivery of key flagship programmes, including the Capsticks Housing Diploma, with support from the Business Development Manager
• Keep up to date with developments in the events industry, including event technology, digital engagement and AI-enabled tools, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, attendee experience and reporting
Other duties
You may also be asked to support other work across the team from time to time, whether that is helping on wider projects or contributing to the smooth running of the Business Development and Marketing function.
