What skills and attributes are required?

Our successful venue sourcing consultants (associates) are great at networking and building long-lasting business relationships. They are persistent and tenacious. Associates have accurate and prompt administration skills with strong attention to detail.

They like to negotiate hotel contracts and achieve win-win outcomes. They are computer literate with standard business software (e.g. Office, Internet, etc) and have clear written and oral communication skills. If you like to travel and have fun too, then that is a bonus!

We specialise in sourcing hotels and special venues for groups of 10 or more people. Clients include any group needing hotel accommodation and/or function space and we have booked company meetings, conferences, sports groups, exhibitions, associations, large family gatherings, award dinners, weddings, orchestras, team building events, retreats, recruitment roadshows, product launches, breakfast meetings, etc. The list is endless!

Our $1 Billion buying power means that we have strong support from the hotel community and that enables associates to source and negotiate effectively on behalf of their clients.

What help and support would I receive?

You would work for yourself as a self-employed consultant. Each associate has a designated coach and access to a well-respected and comprehensive training programme to empower your success. Our intranet is available 24/7 and provides all the tools and resources you need to run your own business.

This includes support for your business activities such as your web presence, sales and marketing materials, communications, technology to streamline processes and share information, accounting, training, coaching and so much more.

How do I earn money?

There is no salary attached to this role. All associates receive a consultancy fee which is typically 5% of the value of the meetings, events, or group accommodation they have booked for their clients. There is no limit to your consultancy fees. Your income depends on your level of commitment and determination to find clients, build strong, long-lasting relationships and source the best venues that match your client's needs. We have many associates with six-figure incomes.
