Client Event Planner

Based in London, the Client Event Planner will be responsible for all activities relating to the development, negotiation, execution and follow-through of external firm and client events hosted or related to our London office and will provide, when possible, event guidance to the marketing teams in Paris and Germany. This position will work closely with the relevant marketing and business development contacts with ownership of the tactical event-related details and execution of substantive and relationship client facing events.
The position will report to the Sr. Manager, Events.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with the relevant marketing and business development leads and partners to create unique client entertainment opportunities aimed at relationship building, including closing dinners, social outings, usage of firm tickets, client give aways and other touch points.
Working with relevant marketing and business development leads, contribute to the creation and execution of substantive client facing events that showcase the firm’s legal and industry capabilities.
Managing the London office’s sport and event tickets purchases and relevant support including Wimbledon, Lords, the Chelsea Flower show and others.
Sourcing, negotiating, coordinating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, restaurants and venues.
Managing relevant office event related quick reference guides.
Liaising with the Client Development and CRM Teams on list management using the firm’s InterAction database.
Contributing to advancing systems, processes and efficiencies for the events function and overall Marketing & Business Development Department.
Special projects, as assigned.

Experience:
Undergraduate degree required.
5+ years of experience in professional services industry, legal preferred.
Experience with strategic event planning and execution.
