Events Executive
Want to grow your career in events? Look no further – RS UK & I is seeking an enthusiastic Events Executive to join its fast-paced, fun and collaborative marketing team in a 12-month fixed term role. Someone who loves meeting new people, enjoys UK travel and is willing to get stuck in.
The full-time, hybrid position would suit someone who is already at this level or a person wanting to step up from an Events Assistant position.
You will be arranging RS’s attendance at several trade shows, award ceremonies and site-based, customer-focused events across the UK and Ireland, as well as managing its sponsorship programmes end-to-end.
You will also collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders across various departments to project manage these best-in-class events that showcase RS’s services and solutions offering and be responsible for their successful delivery.
Supporting the PR, Events and Communications Manager and the Senior External Communications Manager, activities you will undertake include:
Writing and managing the delivery of external communications around each events to customers, suppliers and stakeholders
Working with selected event agencies and third-party suppliers
Project planning and delivery
Working with the wider marketing team on display, lead generation, social, email and brand advertising supporting events
Budget planning and raising Purchase Orders

Background in events
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident communicator
Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
Willingness to travel as occasional overnight stays are a requirement of this role
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent written and spoken English
